From the club member's GPS log of the trip (14 November 2009), lightly edited, with people's names removed. Conditions may have changed since.
South Hurunui trip, party of 2. Went to Upper Hurunui Hut but camped, as the hut was occupied and pretty grotty anyway. The next day we went to Lookout Peak and pottered around Roche Saddle. We went up the eastern spur on local advice, but that proved not to be the route, and we picked up the correct track on the way down, slightly west of there. It doesn't really matter, as the bush is fairly open.
